We suggest no more than two anglers per trip. One angler is preferred for a one on one learning experience and minimizes disturbances on the waters we will be fishing in.
4-6 hour trip, 1-2 anglers
Saltwater fish that we target are the elusive Hawai'i bonefish, along with tackling various species of trevally, and other reef fish all of which offer their own unique challenge.
Prepare for casting into the wind as Kauai is usually visited by passing clouds, rain, and steady trade winds that can challenge even a more experienced fly fishing angler. Brushing up on your double haul casting before your trip will increase your chances of success. Bonefish in Hawaii can be challenging yet rewarding, they are strong and put up a good fight!
4-6 hour trip, 1-2 anglers
Freshwater fish we target include peacock bass, smallmouth, largemouth bass, and rainbow trout. Hiking is a must, as is some rock hopping. Be prepared to get muddy and make your way through beautiful, lush rainforests. Freshwater fishing can be a challenge, however, it's worth it as freshwater fishing comes with some truly spectacular views!
We can provide reels, rods, and flies. However, if you'd like to bring your favorite gear:
8 or 9wt rods recommended for saltwater, 5-6wt rods for freshwater, good polarized sunglasses, flats boots or other protective footwear, hat, sun protection, lightweight long-sleeve protection shirt.
